Wah Wah 45s are proud to present the first single to be taken from the hugely anticipated new album from arguably the UK’s finest dub and reggae outfit, Resonators.
After a four year hiatus – mostly spent tirelessly performing headline shows and festivals across the UK and Europe, as well as recording a plethora of new music – this almost peerless Brighton-based collective are ready to showcase their new material to an eager public.
Close Harmonies
Always thinking outside of the box, Healer started life as a psych rock tune, but somehow transformed into a beautiful piece of reggae music, whilst still retaining much of the original feel. It’s a song about young love and the resurgence of a friendship in adult life. The Healer character shows us that no matter how tough the present can be, we can always look to old friends for strength – the bonds of youth can last forever. Filled with gorgeous close harmonies, the original vocal version is a life-affirming slice of sultry summertime music, but for those who like their dub there’s always the deeper, effect-heavy version on the flip!
Healer will be released digitally, and on very limited hand-stamped 7” vinyl (signed by the whole band) on June 3rd. The new album, Imaginary People, is due to drop in September.
