- Notes: To celebrate the launch of Hackney Colliery Band’s new album Common Decency, London’s own brass juggernaut have teamed up with legendary London brewery Truman’s (established 1666) to create their very own ale. HCB and Truman’s ‘Bold as Brass’ ale is a perfect autumn tipple: with its rousing blend of fresh hops and a malty kick, it’s pure liquid HCB, and of course brewed according to the band’s own exacting specifications, arrived at after extensive fieldwork. The Times described Common Decency as ‘a sound to raise roofs’, and the roof in question this time is on the incredible Victorian music hall Hoxton Hall in the heart of Shoreditch. HCB will be playing a rare extended set, performing the whole of Common Decency live plus selected older classics. Tickets for this unique gig are strictly limited and include a CD copy of HCB’s chart-storming album Common Decency (or a limited edition exclusive T shirt if you already have the album) and a few glasses of Bold as Brass to kick the night into action.
