Momentous Offering
Following on from their critically acclaimed single ‘Something Special / Why I (Discomix)’ (championed by the likes of David Rodigan, Huey Morgan & Don Letts) seminal UK Dub outfit Resonators return with another crucial, dubwise offering on Wah Wah 45s.
Vibes and Vocals
A thick haze engulfs the opening of opening track ‘Won’t Suffer’. Haunting dub sirens pierce the ether, before the atmosphere clears for the rippling vocals, spilling through the veins of the track and bringing it to life, along with some earth-shaking bass. On the flip, ‘Miles Says’ takes on a more sun-kissed approach, a blissful summertime jam, strictly for the lovers. Both tracks are also accompanied by two spaced out versions, perfect for astral travelling.
Reactions
“In these days of homogenised, digital recordings lacking in any individual sound or identity it is most encouraging to hear something so truly original… most refreshing”. David Rodigan MBE

“Resonators have done it again; not only are they touring, their mighty fine label, Wah Wah 45s have released a new single to match their recent ‘Something Special / Why I (Discomix)’ release; if not better it!
Both tracks, ‘Won’t Suffer’ and ‘Miles Says’ are perfect. ‘Miles Says’ is pretty roots poppy whilst ‘Won’t Suffer’ is pretty dubby to start with but they both have versions to dubster I&I on a astral travel-log to higher plains; ya sensi?
Any chance of future tracks to feature Mikey General (hope you caught him on his recent UK tour) as that would just tip us into the next world but as the Resonators are on the same label as Soothsayers [don’t forget their new CD ‘Tradition’] we are so close to ‘the’ truth.
All day long quality must have.
Brilliant work guys
Many thanks again
